Do not fear, for I am with you; I will bring your descendants from the east, and gather you from the west.


He said, ‘Don’t be afraid,  you who are  treasured by God.  Peace to you; be very strong! ’ As he spoke to me, I was strengthened and said, ‘Let my lord speak, for you have strengthened me.’


Take words of repentance with you and return to the  Lord. Say to him, ‘Forgive all our iniquity and accept what is good, so that we may repay you with praise  from our   lips.


He replied to the one who was speaking to him, ‘Who is my mother and who are my brothers? ’

But she was deeply troubled  by this statement, wondering what kind of greeting this could be.


Then the angel told her, ‘Do not be afraid, Mary,  for you have found favour with God.

For I am with you, and no one will lay a hand on you to hurt you, because I have many people in this city.’
