When King Herod heard this, he was deeply disturbed, and all Jerusalem with him.
When he entered Jerusalem, the whole city was in an uproar, saying, ‘Who is this? ’
They got up, drove him out of the town, and brought him to the edge of the hill that their town was built on, intending to hurl him over the cliff.
So the city was filled with confusion, and they rushed all together into the amphitheatre, dragging along Gaius and Aristarchus, Macedonians who were Paul’s travelling companions.
For this reason the Jews seized me in the temple and were trying to kill me.
