The Spirit of the  Lord spoke through me, his word was on my tongue.


Therefore, the Lord himself will give you  a sign: See, the virgin will conceive,  have a son, and name him Immanuel.  ,


They will serve the Lord their God and David their king, whom I will raise up for them.


Bethlehem Ephrathah, you are small among the clans of Judah; one will come from you to be ruler over Israel for me. His origin  is from antiquity, from ancient times.


He asked them, ‘How is it then that David, inspired by the Spirit,   calls him “Lord”   :


After crucifying him, they divided his clothes by casting lots.  ,


David   himself says by the Holy Spirit: The Lord   declared to my Lord, “Sit at my right hand until I put your enemies under your feet.”   ,


He told them, ‘These are my words   that I spoke to you while I was still with you #– #that everything written about me in the Law of Moses, the Prophets,   and the Psalms   must be fulfilled.’


‘Brothers and sisters, it was necessary that the Scripture be fulfilled that the Holy Spirit, through the mouth of David, foretold about Judas, who became a guide to those who arrested Jesus.

And again, Isaiah says, The root of Jesse   will appear, the one who rises to rule the Gentiles; the Gentiles will hope in him.   ,


Remember Jesus Christ, risen from the dead  and descended from David, according to my gospel,


Long ago God spoke  to our ancestors by the prophets  at different times and in different ways.


Therefore, as the Holy Spirit says: Today, if you hear his voice,


he again specifies a certain day #– #today. He specified this speaking through David after such a long time: Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts.   ,


Because God wanted to show his unchangeable purpose even more clearly to the heirs of the promise, he guaranteed it with an oath,


but he became a priest with an oath made by the one who said to him: The Lord has sworn and will not change his mind, ‘You are a priest for ever.’   ,


because no prophecy ever came by the will of man;  instead, men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.


These will make war against the Lamb, but the Lamb will conquer them because he is Lord of lords and King of kings.  Those with him are called, chosen, and faithful.’


And he has a name written on his robe and on his thigh: King of Kings and L ord of L ords.
