Acts 15:28

For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.’


They tie up heavy loads that are hard to carry   and put them on people’s shoulders, but they themselves aren’t willing to lift a finger to move them.


When the Spirit of truth   comes, he will guide you into all the truth.   For he will not speak on his own, but he will speak whatever he hears. He will also declare to you what is to come.


Therefore, in my judgement, we should not cause difficulties for those among the Gentiles who turn to God,


we have unanimously  decided to select men and send them to you along with our dearly loved Barnabas and Paul,


And God, who knows the heart, bore witness to them by giving them the Holy Spirit, just as he also did to us.


As they travelled through the towns, they delivered the decisions reached by the apostles and elders at Jerusalem for the people to observe.


We are witnesses of these things, and so is the Holy Spirit  whom God has given to those who obey him.’


If anyone thinks he is a prophet or spiritual, he should recognise that what I write to you is the Lord’s command.


Now about virgins:  I have no command from the Lord, but I do give an opinion as one who by the Lord’s mercy  is faithful.


But she is happier if she remains as she is, in my opinion. And I think that I also have the Spirit of God.


Consequently, anyone who rejects this does not reject man, but God, who gives you his Holy Spirit.


It was revealed to them that they were not serving themselves but you. These things have now been announced to you through those who preached the gospel to you  by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven   #– #angels long to catch a glimpse of these things.


I say to the rest of you in Thyatira, who do not hold this teaching, who haven’t known ‘the so-called secrets   , of Satan’   #– #as they say #– #I am not putting any other burden on you.
