She said to Elijah, ‘Man of God,  what do you have against me?  Have you come to call attention to my iniquity  so that my son is put to death? ’


Now summon all Israel to meet me at Mount Carmel,  along with the 450 prophets of Baal and the 400 prophets of Asherah  who eat at Jezebel’s table.’


So the king of Israel gathered the prophets, about four hundred men,  and asked them, ‘Should I go against Ramoth-gilead for war or should I refrain? ’ They replied, ‘March up, and the Lord will hand it over to the king.’


Then the king of Israel said, ‘Oh no, the Lord has summoned these three kings, only to hand them over to Moab.’


Jehoshaphat affirmed, ‘The word of the Lord is with him.’ So the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat and the king of Edom went to him.


Then they will call me, but I won’t answer; they will search for me, but won’t find me.


Where are your prophets who prophesied to you, claiming, “The king of Babylon will not come against you and this land”?


Come, let’s return to the  Lord. For he has torn us, and he will heal us; he has wounded us, and he will bind up our wounds.


Suddenly they shouted, ‘What do you have to do with us,  Son of God? Have you come here to torment us before the time? ’


‘What has this concern of yours to do with me,   , woman? ’   Jesus asked. ‘My hour has not yet come.’


From now on, then, we do not know anyone from a worldly perspective.  Even if we have known Christ from a worldly perspective,  yet now we no longer know him in this way.


What agreement does Christ have with Belial?  Or what does a believer have in common with an unbeliever?


Go and cry out to the gods you have chosen.  Let them deliver you whenever you are oppressed.’


Naomi said, ‘Look, your sister-in-law has gone back to her people and to her gods.  Follow your sister-in-law.’
