In the spring, Ben-hadad mobilised the Arameans and went up to Aphek to battle Israel.
They camped opposite each other for seven days. On the seventh day, the battle took place, and the Israelites struck down the Arameans #– #one hundred thousand foot soldiers in one day.
Then Elisha said to the king of Israel, ‘Grasp the bow.’ So the king grasped it, and Elisha put his hands on the king’s hands.

For the word of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but it is the power of God to us who are being saved.
And Samuel’s words came to all Israel. Israel went out to meet the Philistines in battle and camped at Ebenezer while the Philistines camped at Aphek.
