He said: Blessed be the Lord God of Israel! He spoke directly to my father David, and he has fulfilled the promise  by his power. He said,


He is the one who will build a house for me,  and I will establish his throne for ever.


Then David blessed the Lord in the sight of all the assembly. David said, May you be blessed, Lord God of our father Israel, from eternity to eternity.


Then David said to the whole assembly, ‘Blessed be the Lord your God.’ So the whole assembly praised the Lord God of their ancestors.  They knelt low and paid homage to the Lord and the king.


You have kept what you promised to your servant, my father David. You spoke directly to him, and you fulfilled your promise by your power, as it is today.


Now, Lord God of Israel, please confirm what you promised to your servant David.


Then the king turned and blessed the entire congregation of Israel while they were standing.


‘Since the day I brought my people Israel out of the land of Egypt, I have not chosen a city to build a temple in among any of the tribes of Israel, so that my name would be there, and I have not chosen a man to be ruler over my people Israel.


Ezra blessed the Lord, the great God, and with their hands lifted up  all the people said, ‘Amen, Amen! ’  Then they knelt low and worshipped the Lord with their faces to the ground.


Heaven and earth will pass away,   but my words will never pass away.


Blessed is the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavens in Christ.
