Like as a father pitieth his children,\par\tab So Jehovah pitieth them that fear him.
But the lovingkindness of Jehovah is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him,\par\tab And his righteousness unto children's children;

Jehovah will go forth as a mighty man; he will stir up {\i his} zeal like a man of war: he will cry, yea, he will shout aloud; he will do mightily against his enemies.\par
And foreigners shall build up thy walls, and their kings shall minister unto thee: for in my wrath I smote thee, but in my favor have I had mercy on thee.
Look down from heaven, and behold from the habitation of thy holiness and of thy glory: where are thy zeal and thy mighty acts? the yearning of thy heart and thy compassions are restrained toward me.

So the angel that talked with me said unto me, Cry thou, saying, Thus saith Jehovah of hosts: I am jealous for Jerusalem and for Zion with a great jealousy.
Thus saith Jehovah of hosts: I am jealous for Zion with great jealousy, and I am jealous for her with great wrath.
And he arose, and came to his father. But while he was yet afar off, his father saw him, and was moved with compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him.
They moved him to jealousy with strange gods; With abominations provoked they him to anger.
For Jehovah will judge his people, And repent himself for his servants; When he seeth that their power is gone, And there is none remaining, shut up or left at large.
Rejoice, O ye nations, with his people: For he will avenge the blood of his servants, And will render vengeance to his adversaries, And will make expiation for his land, for his people.
Behold, we call them blessed that endured: ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord, how that the Lord is full of pity, and merciful.\par
And they put away the foreign gods from among them, and served Jehovah; and his soul was grieved for the misery of Israel.
