You shall say to them, Thus says the Lord, the God of Israel: Cursed be anyone who does not heed the words of this covenant,


Ah, sword of the Lord! How long until you are quiet? Put yourself into your scabbard; rest and be still!


How can it be quiet, when the Lord has given it an order? Against Ashkelon and against the seashore— there he has appointed it.


The Lord has opened his armory and brought out the weapons of his wrath, for the Lord God of hosts has a task in the land of the Chaldeans.


Kill all her bulls; let them go down to the slaughter. Alas for them, their day has come, the time of their punishment!


but do not stay there yourselves; pursue your enemies and attack them from the rear. Do not let them enter their towns, for the Lord your God has given them into your hand.”
