Do not let loyalty and faithfulness forsake you; bind them around your neck; write them on the tablet of your heart.

O Jerusalem, wash your heart clean of wickedness so that you may be saved. How long shall your evil schemes lodge within you?


In Gilead there is iniquity; they shall surely come to nothing. In Gilgal they sacrifice bulls, so their altars shall be like stone heaps on the furrows of the field.


But they do not consider that I remember all their wickedness. Now their deeds surround them; they are before my face.


When Ephraim multiplied altars to expiate sin, they became to him altars for sinning.


The priest shall take some of the blood of the purification offering with his finger and put it on the horns of the altar of burnt offering and pour out the rest of its blood at the base of the altar of burnt offering.


They made their hearts adamant in order not to hear the law and the words that the Lord of hosts had sent by his spirit through the former prophets. Therefore great wrath came from the Lord of hosts.


and you show that you are a letter of Christ, prepared by us, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets that are human hearts.
