Know that the Lord is God. It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people and the sheep of his pasture.


Those who bring thanksgiving as their sacrifice honor me; to those who go the right way, I will show the salvation of God.”


When its boughs are dry, they are broken; women come and make a fire of them. For this is a people without understanding; therefore he who made them will not have compassion on them; he who formed them will show them no favor.


For when he sees his children, the work of my hands, in his midst, they will sanctify my name; they will sanctify the Holy One of Jacob and will stand in awe of the God of Israel.


But now thus says the Lord, he who created you, O Jacob, he who formed you, O Israel: Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name; you are mine.


the people whom I formed for myself so that they might declare my praise.


Sing, O heavens, for the Lord has done it; shout, O depths of the earth; break forth into singing, O mountains, O forest and every tree in it! For the Lord has redeemed Jacob and will be glorified in Israel.


I bring near my deliverance; it is not far off, and my salvation will not tarry; I will put salvation in Zion, for Israel my glory.


For my own sake, for my own sake, I do it, for why should my name be profaned? My glory I will not give to another.


I will give, in my house and within my walls, a monument and a name better than sons and daughters; I will give them an everlasting name that shall not be cut off.


Your people shall all be righteous; they shall possess the land forever. They are the shoot that I planted, the work of my hands, so that I might be glorified.


We have long been like those whom you do not rule, like those not called by your name.


Why should you be like someone confused, like a mighty warrior who cannot give help? Yet you, O Lord, are in the midst of us, and we are called by your name; do not forsake us!


In those days Judah will be saved, and Jerusalem will live in safety. And this is the name by which it will be called: “The Lord is our righteousness.”


Incline your ear, O my God, and hear. Open your eyes and look at our desolation and the city that bears your name. We do not present our supplication before you on the ground of our righteousness but on the ground of your great mercies.


O Lord, hear; O Lord, forgive; O Lord, listen and act and do not delay! For your own sake, O my God, because your city and your people bear your name!”


in order that they may possess the remnant of Edom and all the nations who are called by my name, says the Lord who does this.


My Father is glorified by this, that you bear much fruit and become my disciples.

For neither circumcision nor uncircumcision is anything, but a new creation is everything!


so that we, who were the first to set our hope on Christ, might live for the praise of his glory.


to the praise of his glorious grace that he freely bestowed on us in the Beloved.


For we are what he has made us, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we may walk in them.


Is it not they who blaspheme the excellent name that was invoked over you?


But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s own people, in order that you may proclaim the excellence of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.


Whoever speaks must do so as one speaking the very words of God; whoever serves must do so with the strength that God supplies, so that God may be glorified in all things through Jesus Christ. To him belong the glory and the power forever and ever. Amen.


If you are reviled for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the spirit of glory, which is the Spirit of God, is resting on you.


If you conquer, I will make you a pillar in the temple of my God; you will never go out of it. I will write on you the name of my God and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem that comes down from my God out of heaven, and my own new name.


For the Lord will not cast away his people, for his great name’s sake, because it has pleased the Lord to make you a people for himself.
