At that time Jesus said, “I thank you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and the intelligent and have revealed them to infants;


When he went out to the porch, another female servant saw him, and she said to the bystanders, “This man was with Jesus the Nazarene.”


After a little while the bystanders came up and said to Peter, “Certainly you are also one of them, for your accent betrays you.”


So Jesus sent Peter and John, saying, “Go and prepare the Passover meal for us that we may eat it.”


When Jesus saw his mother and the disciple whom he loved standing beside her, he said to his mother, “Woman, here is your son.”


The Jews were astonished at it, saying, “How does this man have such learning, when he has never been taught?”


But this crowd, which does not know the law, they are accursed.”


When they saw the man who had been cured standing beside them, they had nothing to say in opposition.


But Peter and John answered them, “Whether it is right in God’s sight to listen to you rather than to God, you must judge;


And now, Lord, look at their threats, and grant to your servants to speak your word with all boldness,


When they had prayed, the place in which they were gathered together was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God with boldness.


But Barnabas took him, brought him to the apostles, and described for them how on the road he had seen the Lord, who had spoken to him, and how in Damascus he had spoken boldly in the name of Jesus.


So he went in and out among them in Jerusalem, speaking boldly in the name of the Lord.


But God chose what is foolish in the world to shame the wise; God chose what is weak in the world to shame the strong;


After the secrets of the unbeliever’s heart are disclosed, that person will bow down before God and worship, declaring, “God is really among you.”


Since, then, we have such a hope, we act with complete frankness,
