but Hadad fled to Egypt with some Edomites who were servants of his father. He was a young boy at that time.


He built the structure against the whole house, each story five cubits high, and it was joined to the house with timbers of cedar.


The entrance for the lower story was on the south side of the house: one went up by winding stairs to the middle story and from the middle story to the third.


Jehoash was seven years old when he began to reign.

Thus Jehoshabeath daughter of King Jehoram and wife of the priest Jehoiada—because she was a sister of Ahaziah—hid him from Athaliah, so that she did not kill him;


The Nile shall swarm with frogs; they shall come up into your palace, into your bedchamber and your bed, into the houses of your officials and of your people, and into your ovens and your kneading bowls.


No wisdom, no understanding, no counsel can avail against the Lord.

Go to the house of the Rechabites, and speak with them, and bring them to the house of the Lord, into one of the chambers; then offer them wine to drink.


And the king commanded Jerahmeel the king’s son and Seraiah son of Azriel and Shelemiah son of Abdeel to arrest the secretary Baruch and the prophet Jeremiah. But the Lord hid them.
