Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.


Those who are ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, of them the Son of Man will also be ashamed when he comes in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.”


it will be like that on the day that the Son of Man is revealed.


About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them.


As they left the council, they rejoiced that they were considered worthy to suffer dishonor for the sake of the name.

Therefore prepare your minds for action; discipline yourselves; set all your hope on the grace that Jesus Christ will bring you when he is revealed.

Now as an elder myself and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, as well as one who shares in the glory to be revealed, I exhort the elders among you


And after you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, support, strengthen, and establish you.


Now to him who is able to keep you from falling and to make you stand without blemish in the presence of his glory with rejoicing,


Look! He is coming with the clouds; every eye will see him, even those who pierced him, and all the tribes of the earth will wail on account of him. So it is to be. Amen.


I, John, your brother who share with you the persecution and the kingdom and the endurance in Jesus, was on the island called Patmos because of the word of God and the testimony of Jesus.
