“Micah of Moresheth, who prophesied during the days of King Hezekiah of Judah, said to all the people of Judah: ‘Thus says the Lord of hosts, Zion shall be plowed as a field; Jerusalem shall become a heap of ruins and the mountain of the house a wooded height.’


then I will make this house like Shiloh, and I will make this city a curse for all the nations of the earth.


Why have you prophesied in the name of the Lord, saying, ‘This house shall be like Shiloh, and this city shall be desolate, without inhabitant’?” And all the people gathered around Jeremiah in the house of the Lord.


How the gold has grown dim; how the pure gold is changed! The sacred stones lie scattered at the head of every street.


because of Mount Zion, which lies desolate; jackals prowl over it.


Therefore because of you Zion shall be plowed as a field; Jerusalem shall become a heap of ruins, and the mountain of the temple a wooded height.


Open your doors, O Lebanon, so that fire may devour your cedars!


For I will gather all the nations against Jerusalem to battle, and the city shall be taken and the houses plundered and the women raped; half the city shall go into exile, but the rest of the people shall not be cut off from the city.


Then he asked them, “You see all these, do you not? Truly I tell you, not one stone will be left here upon another; all will be thrown down.”


Then Jesus asked him, “Do you see these great buildings? Not one stone will be left here upon another; all will be thrown down.”


They asked him, “Teacher, when will this be, and what will be the sign that this is about to take place?”
