They shall go after the Lord, who roars like a lion; when he roars, his children shall come trembling from the west.


And he said: The Lord roars from Zion and utters his voice from Jerusalem; the pastures of the shepherds wither, and the top of Carmel dries up.


The lion has roared; who will not fear? The Lord God has spoken; who can but prophesy?


The Lord is good, a stronghold in a day of trouble; he protects those who take refuge in him,


For thus says the Lord of hosts: Once again, in a little while, I will shake the heavens and the earth and the sea and the dry land,


and I will shake all the nations, so that the treasure of all nations will come, and I will fill this house with splendor, says the Lord of hosts.


I will make them strong in the Lord, and they shall walk in his name, says the Lord.


I will strengthen the house of Judah, and I will save the house of Joseph. I will bring them back because I have compassion on them, and they shall be as though I had not rejected them, for I am the Lord their God, and I will answer them.


Return to your stronghold, O prisoners of hope; today I declare that I will restore to you double.


At that time his voice shook the earth, but now he has promised, “Yet once more I will shake not only the earth but also the heaven.”


At that moment there was a great earthquake, and a tenth of the city fell; seven thousand people were killed in the earthquake, and the rest were terrified and gave glory to the God of heaven.


Then God’s temple in heaven was opened, and the ark of his covenant was seen within his temple, and there were flashes of lightning, rumblings, peals of thunder, an earthquake, and heavy hail.


And there came flashes of lightning, rumblings, peals of thunder, and a violent earthquake, such as had not occurred since people were upon the earth, so violent was that earthquake.


Moreover, the Glory of Israel will not deceive or change his mind, for he is not a mortal, that he should change his mind.”
