Then I heard a holy one speaking, and another holy one said to the one who spoke, “For how long is this vision concerning the regular burnt offering, the transgression that makes desolate, and the giving over of the sanctuary and host to be trampled?”


But they understood nothing about all these things; in fact, what he said was hidden from them, and they did not grasp what was said.


His disciples did not understand these things at first, but when Jesus was glorified, then they remembered that these things had been written of him and had been done to him.


He replied, “It is not for you to know the times or periods that the Father has set by his own authority.


inquiring about the time and circumstances that the Spirit of Christ within them indicated when it testified in advance to the sufferings intended for Christ and the subsequent glory.
