HEB:בַּמִּדְבָּ֑ר לְמַ֨עַן עַנֹּֽתְךָ֜ לְנַסֹּֽתְךָ֗ לָדַ֜עַת
NAS: years, that He might humble you, testing
KJV: in the wilderness, to humble thee, [and] to prove
