Nevertheless, in your great mercies you did not make an end of them or forsake them, for you are a gracious and merciful God.

But the LORD was gracious to them and had compassion on them, and he turned toward them, because of his covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and would not destroy them, nor has he cast them from his presence until now.

They refused to obey and were not mindful of the wonders that you performed among them, but they stiffened their neck and appointed a leader to return to their slavery in Egypt. "Go up through her vine rows and destroy, but make not a full end; strip away her branches, for they are not the LORD's.

"But even in those days, declares the LORD, I will not make a full end of you.

The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases;[2] his mercies never come to an end;

To the Lord our God belong mercy and forgiveness, for we have rebelled against him

For the LORD your God is a merciful God. He will not leave you or destroy you or forget the covenant with your fathers that he swore to them.
