When God destroyed the cities of the Plain, he remembered Abraham and sent Lot away from the upheaval that occurred when God overthrew the cities where Lot had been living. Moabites and Ammonites.

God remembered Noah and all the animals, wild and tame, that were with him in the ark. So God made a wind sweep over the earth, and the waters began to subside.

If he should seize and imprison or call to judgment, who then could turn him back?

My spirit is broken, my days finished, my burial at hand.

Even that God would decide to crush me, that he would put forth his hand and cut me off!

He said to me: Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel! They are saying, “Our bones are dried up, our hope is lost, and we are cut off.”
