Pride goes before disaster, and a haughty spirit before a fall.

When pride comes, disgrace comes; but with the humble is wisdom.

Those who love an offense love a fight; those who build their gate high court disaster.

Before disaster the heart is haughty, but before honor is humility.

Haughtiness brings humiliation, but the humble of spirit acquire honor.
