Justice leads toward life, but pursuit of evil, toward death.

He declared to the king: “Thus says the Lord: Because you sent messengers to inquire of Baalzebub, the god of Ekron—do you think there is no God in Israel to inquire of?—you shall not leave the bed upon which you lie; instead you shall die.”

For this, the Lord says: You shall not leave the bed upon which you lie; instead, you shall die. And Elijah departed.

The labor of the just leads to life, the gains of the wicked, to futility.

Wealth is useless on a day of wrath, but justice saves from death.

In the path of justice is life, but the way of abomination leads to death.

The fear of the Lord leads to life; one eats and sleeps free from any harm.

Whoever strays from the way of good sense will abide in the assembly of the shades.

Whoever pursues justice and kindness will find life and honor.

But those who pass me by do violence to themselves; all who hate me love death.”

Rather, in every nation whoever fears him and acts uprightly is acceptable to him.

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Justice, justice alone shall you pursue, so that you may live and possess the land the Lord, your God, is giving you. Illicit Worship.

Then desire conceives and brings forth sin, and when sin reaches maturity it gives birth to death.

In this way, the children of God and the children of the devil are made plain; no one who fails to act in righteousness belongs to God, nor anyone who does not love his brother.

Children, let no one deceive you. The person who acts in righteousness is righteous, just as he is righteous.
