What profit have the wise compared to fools, or what profit have the lowly in knowing how to conduct themselves in life?
When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the Lord appeared to Abram and said: I am God the Almighty. Walk in my presence and be blameless.

Sleep is sweet to the laborer, whether there is little or much to eat; but the abundance of the rich allows them no sleep.
“What the eyes see is better than what the desires wander after.” This also is vanity and a chase after wind.
Both were righteous in the eyes of God, observing all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blamelessly.
Tell the rich in the present age not to be proud and not to rely on so uncertain a thing as wealth but rather on God, who richly provides us with all things for our enjoyment.
