See now that I, I alone, am he, and there is no god besides me. It is I who bring both death and life, I who inflict wounds and heal them, and from my hand no one can deliver.

Go back and tell Hezekiah, the leader of my people: “Thus says the Lord, the God of David your father: I have heard your prayer; I have seen your tears. Now I am healing you. On the third day you shall go up to the house of the Lord.

When he read the letter, the king of Israel tore his garments and exclaimed: “Am I a god with power over life and death, that this man should send someone for me to cure him of leprosy? Take note! You can see he is only looking for a quarrel with me!”

“You are the Lord, you alone; You made the heavens, the highest heavens and all their host, The earth and all that is upon it, the seas and all that is in them. To all of them you give life, the heavenly hosts bow down before you.

Yet these things you have hidden in your heart; I know they are your purpose:

Even though you know that I am not wicked, and that none can deliver me out of your hand?

For he wounds, but he binds up; he strikes, but his hands give healing.

They perish, but you remain; they all wear out like a garment; Like clothing you change them and they are changed,

but you are the same, your years have no end.

God’s way is unerring; the Lord’s promise is refined; he is a shield for all who take refuge in him.

“Now understand this, you who forget God, lest I start ripping apart and there be no rescuer.

Behold, you desire true sincerity; and secretly you teach me wisdom.

Blessed be the Lord day by day, God, our salvation, who carries us. Selah

For you are great and do wondrous deeds; and you alone are God.

He said: If you listen closely to the voice of the Lord, your God, and do what is right in his eyes: if you heed his commandments and keep all his statutes, I will not afflict you with any of the diseases with which I afflicted the Egyptians; for I, the Lord, am your healer.

Then God said: Put your hand back into the fold of your garment. So he put his hand back into the fold of his garment, and when he drew it out, there it was again like his own flesh.

A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to tear down, and a time to build.

Although the Lord shall smite Egypt severely, he shall heal them; they shall turn to the Lord and he shall be moved by their entreaty and heal them.

The light of the moon will be like the light of the sun, and the light of the sun will be seven times greater, like the light of seven days, On the day the Lord binds up the wounds of his people and heals the bruises left by his blows.

Who has performed these deeds? Who has called forth the generations from the beginning? I, the Lord, am the first, and at the last I am he.

You are my witnesses—oracle of the Lord— my servant whom I have chosen To know and believe in me and understand that I am he. Before me no god was formed, and after me there shall be none.

It is I who declared, who saved, who announced, not some strange god among you; You are my witnesses—oracle of the Lord. I am God,

yes, from eternity I am he; There is none who can deliver from my hand: I act and who can cancel it?

For thus says the Lord, The creator of the heavens, who is God, The designer and maker of the earth who established it, Not as an empty waste did he create it, but designing it to be lived in: I am the Lord, and there is no other.

Turn to me and be safe, all you ends of the earth, for I am God; there is no other!

I am the Lord, there is no other, there is no God besides me. It is I who arm you, though you do not know me,

Even to your old age I am he, even when your hair is gray I will carry you; I have done this, and I will lift you up, I will carry you to safety.

Listen to me, Jacob, Israel, whom I called! I, it is I who am the first, and am I the last.

Therefore, prophesy and say to them: Thus says the Lord God: Look! I am going to open your graves; I will make you come up out of your graves, my people, and bring you back to the land of Israel.

He asked me: Son of man, can these bones come back to life? “Lord God,” I answered, “you alone know that.”

For I am like a lion to Ephraim, like a young lion to the house of Judah; It is I who tear the prey and depart, I carry it away and no one can save it.

“Come, let us return to the Lord, For it is he who has torn, but he will heal us; he has struck down, but he will bind our wounds.

Your hand shall be lifted above your foes, and all your enemies shall be cut down.

That is why I told you that you will die in your sins. For if you do not believe that I AM, you will die in your sins.”

The Lord alone guided them, no foreign god was with them.

All this you were allowed to see that you might know that the Lord is God; there is no other.

Know, then, that the Lord, your God, is God: the faithful God who keeps covenant mercy to the thousandth generation toward those who love him and keep his commandments,

You will roll them up like a cloak, and like a garment they will be changed. But you are the same, and your years will have no end.”

which said, “Write on a scroll what you see and send it to the seven churches: to Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamum, Thyatira, Sardis, Philadelphia, and Laodicea.”

“To the angel of the church in Smyrna, write this: “‘The first and the last, who once died but came to life, says this:

“The Lord puts to death and gives life, casts down to Sheol and brings up again.
