All flesh shall see that I, the Lord, have kindled it; it shall not be quenched.

But I said, “Ah! Lord God, they are saying about me, ‘Is not this the one who is forever spinning parables?’”

The man clothed in linen, who was upstream, lifted his hands to heaven; and I heard him swear by him who lives forever that it should be for a time, two times, and half a time; and that, when the power of the destroyer of the holy people was brought to an end, all these things should end.

Yet, by my life and the Lord’s glory that fills the whole earth,

the twenty-four elders fall down before the one who sits on the throne and worship him, who lives forever and ever. They throw down their crowns before the throne, exclaiming:

Whenever the living creatures give glory and honor and thanks to the one who sits on the throne, who lives forever and ever,
