Since we have these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from every defilement of flesh and spirit, making holiness perfect in the fear of God.

He gave them this command: “Thus you shall act: in the fear of the Lord, with fidelity and with an undivided heart.

How can the young keep his way without fault? Only by observing your words.

The precepts of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart. The command of the Lord is clear, enlightening the eye.

You will let me hear gladness and joy; the bones you have crushed will rejoice.

By steadfast loyalty guilt is expiated, and by the fear of the Lord evil is avoided.

Who can say, “I have made my heart clean, I am cleansed of my sin”?

There are some pure in their own eyes, yet not cleansed of their filth.

Cleanse your heart of evil, Jerusalem, that you may be saved. How long will you entertain wicked schemes?

But if, after the washing, the infection has disappeared from the garment, or the warp or woof, or the leather article, the thing shall be washed a second time, and thus it will be clean.

“Either declare the tree good and its fruit is good, or declare the tree rotten and its fruit is rotten, for a tree is known by its fruit.

So be perfect, just as your heavenly Father is perfect.

Blessed are the clean of heart, for they will see God.

so as to strengthen your hearts, to be blameless in holiness before our God and Father at the coming of our Lord Jesus with all his holy ones. [Amen.]

For God did not call us to impurity but to holiness.

May the God of peace himself make you perfectly holy and may you entirely, spirit, soul, and body, be preserved blameless for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

and the assembly of the firstborn enrolled in heaven, and God the judge of all, and the spirits of the just made perfect,

Therefore, we who are receiving the unshakable kingdom should have gratitude, with which we should offer worship pleasing to God in reverence and awe.

Therefore, let us be on our guard while the promise of entering into his rest remains, that none of you seem to have failed.

But we are sure in your regard, beloved, of better things related to salvation, even though we speak in this way.

Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you of two minds.

but, as he who called you is holy, be holy yourselves in every aspect of your conduct,

Now if you invoke as Father him who judges impartially according to each one’s works, conduct yourselves with reverence during the time of your sojourning,

Since you have purified yourselves by obedience to the truth for sincere mutual love, love one another intensely from a [pure] heart.

Beloved, I urge you as aliens and sojourners to keep away from worldly desires that wage war against the soul.

The God of all grace who called you to his eternal glory through Christ [Jesus] will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you after you have suffered a little.

But if we walk in the light as he is in the light, then we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of his Son Jesus cleanses us from all sin.

If we acknowledge our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive our sins and cleanse us from every wrongdoing.

Everyone who has this hope based on him makes himself pure, as he is pure. Avoiding Sin.
