And concerningyou, my brethren,I myselfalsoam convincedthat you yourselvesare fullof goodness, filledwith allknowledgeand ablealsoto admonishone another.
that in everythingyou were enrichedin Him, in allspeechand allknowledge,
For to oneis giventhe wordof wisdomthroughthe Spirit,and to anotherthe wordof knowledgeaccordingto the sameSpirit;
IfI have[the gift of] prophecy, and knowallmysteriesand allknowledge;and ifI haveallfaith, soas to removemountains, but do not havelove,I amnothing.
Nowconcerningthings sacrificed to idols,we knowthat we allhaveknowledge.Knowledgemakes arrogant, but loveedifies.
For ifsomeoneseesyou, who haveknowledge, diningin an idol's temple, will not his conscience,if he is weak,be strengthenedto eatthings sacrificed to idols?
Howevernot all menhave thisknowledge;but some, being accustomedto the idoluntilnow, eat[food] as ifit were sacrificed to an idol;and their consciencebeingweakis defiled.
But justas you aboundin everything,in faithand utteranceand knowledgeand in allearnestnessand in the lovewe inspiredin you, [see] that you aboundin thisgracious workalso.
(for the fruitof the Light[consists] in allgoodnessand righteousnessand truth),
having been filledwith the fruitof righteousnesswhich [comes] throughJesusChrist,to the gloryand praiseof God.
For it is onlyrightfor me to feelthis wayaboutyou all, becauseI haveyou in my heart, since bothin my imprisonmentand in the defenseand confirmationof the gospel, you allare partakersof gracewith me.
Let the wordof Christrichlydwellwithinyou, with allwisdomteachingand admonishingone anotherwith psalms[and] hymns[and] spiritualsongs, singingwith thankfulnessin your heartsto God.
Thereforeencourageone anotherand buildup oneanother, justas you alsoare doing.
We urgeyou, brethren,admonishthe unruly,encouragethe fainthearted,helpthe weak,be patientwith everyone.
To thisendalsowe prayfor you always, that our Godwill count you worthyof your calling, and fulfilleverydesirefor goodnessand the workof faithwith power,
For I am mindfulof the sincerefaithwithinyou, whichfirstdweltin your grandmotherLoisand your motherEunice, and I am surethat [it is] in you as well.
Having confidencein your obedience,I writeto you, since I knowthat you will doevenmore thanwhatI say.
For thoughby thistimeyou oughtto be teachers, you haveneedagainfor someoneto teachyou the elementaryprinciplesof the oraclesof God,and you have cometo needmilkand not solidfood.
But, beloved,we are convincedof better thingsconcerningyou, and things that accompanysalvation, thoughwe are speakingin this way.
Therefore,I will alwaysbe readyto remindyou of these things, even thoughyou [already] know[them], and have been establishedin the truthwhich is presentwith [you].
I have not writtento you becauseyou do not knowthe truth, but becauseyou do knowit, and becausenolieis of the truth.
