For we whohave believedenterthat rest,justas He has said,"AS I SWOREIN MY WRATH,THEY SHALL NOT ENTERMY REST,"althoughHis workswere finishedfrom the foundationof the world.
and againin this[passage], "THEY SHALL NOT ENTERMY REST."
AS I SWOREIN MY WRATH,'THEY SHALL NOT ENTERMY REST.'"
shall by nomeansseethe landwhichI sworeto their fathers,norshall anyof those who spurnedMe seeit.
And to whomdid He swearthat they would not enterHis rest,but to thosewhowere disobedient?
Thussaysthe LORD,"Standby the waysand seeand askfor the ancientpaths,Wherethe goodwayis, and walkin it; And you will findrestfor your souls.But they said,'We will not walk[in it].'
for you have not as yetcometo the restingplaceand the inheritancewhichthe LORDyour Godis givingyou.
