You makeus an objectof contentionto our neighbors,And our enemieslaughamong themselves.
ThesethingsI rememberand I pourout my soulwithinme. For I used to goalongwith the throng[and] leadthem in processionto the houseof God,With the voiceof joyand thanksgiving,a multitudekeepingfestival.
We havebecomea reproachto our neighbors,A scoffingand derisionto those aroundus.
"Nowtherefore, comemakea bargainwith my masterthe kingof Assyria,and I will giveyou two thousandhorses,ifyou are ableon your part to setriderson them.
"Whomhave you reproachedand blasphemed?And againstwhomhave you raised[your] voiceAnd haughtilyliftedup your eyes?Againstthe HolyOneof Israel!
Woeto me, my mother,that you have borneme [As] a manof strifeand a manof contentionto allthe land!I have not lent,norhave men lentmoney to me, [Yet] everyonecursesme.
"Now was not Israela laughingstockto you? Orwas he caughtamong thieves?For eachtimeyou speakabout him you shake[your head in scorn].
Therefore,O mountainsof Israel,hearthe wordof the LordGOD.Thussaysthe LordGODto the mountainsand to the hills,to the ravinesand to the valleys,to the desolatewastesand to the forsakencitieswhichhave becomea preyand a derisionto the restof the nationswhichare roundabout,
And thosewho dwellon the earth[will] rejoiceoverthem and celebrate;and they will sendgiftsto one another,becausethesetwoprophetstormentedthosewho dwellon the earth.
It so happenedwhen they were in highspirits,that they said,"Callfor Samson,that he may amuseus." So they calledfor Samsonfrom the prison,and he entertainedthem. And they made him standbetweenthe pillars.
