By awesome[deeds] You answerus in righteousness,O Godof our salvation,You whoare the trustof allthe endsof the earthand of the farthestsea;
"He is your praiseand He is your God,whohas donethesegreatand awesomethingsfor you whichyour eyeshave seen.
Sayto God,"Howawesomeare Your works!Because of the greatnessof Your powerYour enemieswill givefeignedobedienceto You.
"Turnto Me and be saved,allthe endsof the earth;For I am God,and thereis noother.
And in Your majestyrideon victoriously,For the causeof truthand meekness[and] righteousness;Let Your righthandteachYou awesomethings.
Allthe endsof the earthwill rememberand turnto the LORD,And allthe familiesof the nationswill worshipbeforeYou.
But becauseof your stubbornnessand unrepentantheartyou are storingup wrathfor yourselfin the dayof wrathand revelationof the righteous judgmentof God,
"I will seta signamong them and will sendsurvivorsfrom them to the nations:Tarshish,Put,Lud,Meshech,Rosh,Tubaland Javan,to the distantcoastlandsthat have neitherheardMy famenorseenMy glory.And they will declareMy gloryamong the nations.
"My righteousnessis near,My salvationhas goneforth,And My armswill judgethe peoples;The coastlandswill waitfor Me, And for My armthey will waitexpectantly.
And I heardthe angelof the waterssaying,"Righteousare You, who are and whowere, O Holy One,becauseYou judgedthese things;
I will cutoffthe chariotfrom EphraimAnd the horsefrom Jerusalem;And the bowof warwill be cutoff.And He will speakpeaceto the nations;And His dominionwill be from seato sea,And from the Riverto the endsof the earth.
The LORDwill be terrifyingto them, for He will starveallthe godsof the earth;and allthe coastlandsof the nationswill bowdownto Him, everyonefrom his [own] place.
"Thenyou will seeand be radiant,And your heartwill thrilland rejoice;Becausethe abundanceof the seawill be turnedto you, The wealthof the nationswill cometo you.
Then the angelof the LORDwentout and struck185000in the campof the Assyrians;and when men aroseearlyin the morning,behold,allof these were dead.
The LORDis righteousin allHis waysAnd kindin allHis deeds.
Restoreus, O Godof our salvation,And cause Your indignationtowardus to cease.
"Orhas a godtriedto goto takefor himself a nationfrom within[another] nationby trials,by signsand wondersand by warand by a mightyhandand by an outstretchedarmand by greatterrors,as the LORDyour Goddidfor you in Egyptbefore your eyes?
Those who godownto the seain ships,Who dobusinesson greatwaters;
For with You is the fountainof life;In Your lightwe seelight.
How blessedis the manwhose strengthis in You, In whose heartare the highways[to Zion]!
On that day,'declaresthe LORDof hosts,'I will takeyou, Zerubbabel,sonof Shealtiel,My servant,'declaresthe LORD,'and I will makeyou like a signet[ring], for I have chosenyou,'" declaresthe LORDof hosts.
