In the ninthyearof Hoshea,the kingof AssyriacapturedSamariaand carriedIsraelawayinto exileto Assyria,and settledthem in Halahand Habor,[on] the riverof Gozan,and in the citiesof the Medes.
And that He would casttheir seedamong the nationsAnd scatterthem in the lands.
Do allthe workersof wickednessnot know,Who eatup my people[as] they eatbread,[And] do not callupon the Lord?
O God,You have rejectedus. You have brokenus; You have beenangry;O, restoreus.
But You knowme, O LORD;You seeme; And You examinemy heart's[attitude] towardYou. Dragthem offlike sheepfor the slaughterAnd setthem apartfor a dayof carnage!
"Behold,I will gatherthem out of allthe landsto whichI have driventhem in My anger,in My wrathand in greatindignation;and I will bringthem backto thisplaceand make them dwellin safety.
"As a shepherdcaresfor his herdin the daywhen he is amonghis scatteredsheep,soI will carefor My sheepand will deliverthem from allthe placesto whichthey were scatteredon a cloudyand gloomyday.
and they will fallby the edgeof the sword,and will be led captiveinto allthe nations;and Jerusalemwill be trampled underfoot by the Gentilesuntilthe timesof the Gentilesare fulfilled.
Justas it is written,"FOR YOUR SAKEWE ARE BEING PUT TO DEATHALLDAYLONG; WE WERE CONSIDEREDAS SHEEPTO BE SLAUGHTERED."
"Moreover, the LORDwill scatteryou among allpeoples,from one endof the earthto the other endof the earth;and thereyou shall serveothergods,woodand stone,whichyou or your fathershave not known.

The angerof the LORDburnedagainst Israel,and He gavethem into the handsof plundererswho plunderedthem; and He soldthem into the handsof their enemiesaround[them], so that they couldnolongerstandbeforetheir enemies.
