Why do You standafaroff, O LORD?Why do You hide[Yourself] in timesof trouble?
You have seen[it], for You have beheldmischiefand vexationto takeit into Your hand.The unfortunatecommits[himself] to You; You have beenthe helperof the orphan.
Be not farfrom me, for troubleis near;For thereis noneto help.
Manybullshave surroundedme; Strong[bulls] of Bashanhave encircledme.
But You, O LORD,be not faroff; O You my help,hastento my assistance.
To You, O LORD,I call;My rock,do not be deafto me, For if You are silentto me, I will becomelikethose who godownto the pit.
Do not forsakeme, O LORD;O my God,do not be farfrom me!
"Hearmy prayer,O LORD,and giveearto my cry;Do not be silentat my tears;For I am a strangerwith You, A sojournerlike allmy fathers.
"Thesethingsyou have doneand I keptsilence;You thoughtthat I was just likeyou; I will reproveyou and state[the case] in orderbefore your eyes.
O God,do not be farfrom me; O my God,hastento my help!
O God,do not remain quiet;Do not be silentand, O God,do not be still.
The LORDsaid,"I have surelyseenthe afflictionof My peoplewhoare in Egypt,and have givenheedto their crybecauseof their taskmasters,for I am awareof their sufferings.
"Behold,it is writtenbeforeMe, I will not keepsilent,but I will repay;I will even repayinto their bosom,
I HAVE CERTAINLY SEENTHE OPPRESSIONOF MY PEOPLEIN EGYPTAND HAVE HEARDTHEIR GROANS,AND I HAVE COME DOWNTO RESCUETHEM; COMENOW,AND I WILL SENDYOU TO EGYPT.'
