He gives greatdeliveranceto His king,And showslovingkindnessto His anointed,To Davidand his descendantsforever.
"He shall builda housefor My name,and I will establishthe throneof his kingdomforever.
"And nowit has pleasedYou to blessthe houseof Your servant,that it may continueforeverbeforeYou; for You, O LORD,have blessed,and it is blessedforever."
For the sakeof DavidYour servant,Do not turnawaythe faceof Your anointed.
Who givessalvationto kings,Who rescuesDavidHis servantfrom the evilsword.
"But as for Me, I have installedMy KingUpon Zion,My holymountain."
For Your lovingkindnessis greatto the heavensAnd Your truthto the clouds.
And has raisedup a hornof salvationfor us In the houseof DavidHis servant--
concerningHis Son,who was bornof a descendantof Davidaccordingto the flesh,
for the giftsand the callingof Godare irrevocable.
Nowthe promiseswere spokento Abrahamand to his seed.He does not say,"And to seeds,"as [referring] to many,but [rather] to one,"And to your seed,"that is, Christ.
Now the LORDsaidto Samuel,"Howlongwill you grieveoverSaul,since I have rejectedhim from beingkingoverIsrael?Fillyour hornwith oiland go;I will sendyou to Jessethe Bethlehemite,for I have selecteda kingfor Myself among his sons."
