Salvationis farfrom the wicked,For they do not seekYour statutes.
"His sonsare farfrom safety,They are even oppressedin the gate,And thereis nodeliverer.
The wicked,in the haughtinessof his countenance,does not seek[Him]. Allhis thoughtsare, "Thereis noGod."
For You savean afflictedpeople,But haughtyeyesYou abase.
The fearof the LORDis the beginningof knowledge;Foolsdespisewisdomand instruction.
"Listento Me, you stubborn-minded,Who are farfrom righteousness.
Creatingthe praiseof the lips.Peace,peaceto him who is farand to him who is near,"Saysthe LORD,"and I will healhim."
Allof us growllike bears,And moansadlylike doves;We hopefor justice,but thereis none,For salvation,[but] it is farfrom us.
