The LORDis for me among those who helpme; Therefore I will look[with satisfaction] on those who hateme.
Then the Spiritcameupon Amasai,who was the chiefof the thirty,[and he said], "[We] are yours, O David,And with you, O sonof Jesse!Peace,peaceto you, And peaceto him who helpsyou; Indeed,your Godhelpsyou!" Then Davidreceivedthem and madethem captainsof the band.
His heartis upheld,he will not fear,Untilhe looks[with satisfaction] on his adversaries.
Behold,Godis my helper;The Lordis the sustainerof my soul.
WillinglyI will sacrificeto You; I will givethanksto Your name,O LORD,for it is good.
For He has deliveredme from alltrouble,And my eyehas looked[with satisfaction] upon my enemies.
He will redeemmy soulin peacefrom the battle[which is] against me, For they are many[who strive] with me.
My Godin His lovingkindnesswill meetme; Godwill let me look[triumphantly] upon my foes.
Do not slaythem, ormy peoplewill forget;Scatterthem by Your power,and bringthem down,O Lord,our shield.
And my eyehas looked[exultantly] upon my foes,My earshearof the evildoerswho riseup againstme.
"For I am the LORDyour God,who upholdsyour righthand,Who saysto you, 'Do not fear,I will helpyou.'
