Applyyour heartto disciplineAnd your earsto wordsof knowledge.
Inclineyour earand hearthe wordsof the wise,And applyyour mindto my knowledge;
For their Redeemeris strong;He will pleadtheir caseagainstyou.
Do not holdbackdisciplinefrom the child,Althoughyou strikehim with the rod,he will not die.
Listen,my son,and be wise,And directyour heartin the way.
"They cometo you as peoplecome,and sitbeforeyou [as] My peopleand hearyour words,but they do not dothem, for they dothe lustfuldesires[expressed] by their mouth,[and] their heartgoesaftertheir gain.
And Jesus saidto them, "Thereforeeveryscribewho has become a discipleof the kingdomof heavenis likea head of a household,whobringsout of his treasurethings newand old."
