A trustworthywitnesswill not lie,But a false witnessutterslies.
A rascallywitnessmakesa mockeryof justice,And the mouthof the wickedspreadsiniquity.
A false witnesswill not gounpunished,And he who tellslieswill not escape.
A false witnesswill perish,But the manwho listens[to the truth] will speakforever.
Do not be a witnessagainst your neighborwithoutcause,And do not deceivewith your lips.
A false witness[who] utterslies,And one who spreadsstrifeamongbrothers.
Theseare the thingswhichyou should do:speakthe truthto oneanother;judgewith truthand judgmentfor peacein your gates.
