Do not be as the horseor as the mulewhich havenounderstanding,Whose trappingsinclude bitand bridleto holdthem in check,[Otherwise] they will not comenearto you.

A senselessmanhasnoknowledge,Nordoes a stupidmanunderstandthis:
The wiseof heartwill receivecommands,But a babblingfoolwill be ruined.
Ifthe righteouswill be rewardedin the earth,Howmuchmorethe wickedand the sinner!
A goodmanwill obtainfavorfrom the LORD,But He will condemna manwho devisesevil.
Grievouspunishmentis for him who forsakesthe way;He who hatesreproofwill die.
He who separateshimself seeks[his own] desire,He quarrelsagainst allsoundwisdom.
SurelyI am morestupidthananyman,And I do not have the understandingof a man.
