With [his] mouththe godlessmandestroyshis neighbor,But through knowledgethe righteouswill be delivered.
Then the kingof Israelgatheredthe prophetstogether, about fourhundredmen,and saidto them, "Shall I goagainstRamoth-gileadto battleorshall I refrain?"And they said,"Goup, for the Lordwill give[it] into the handof the king."
Sothat godlessmenwould not ruleNorbe snaresof the people.
"Soare the pathsof allwhoforgetGod;And the hopeof the godlesswill perish,
For it is not an enemywho reproachesme, Then I could bear[it]; Noris it one who hatesme who has exaltedhimself againstme, Then I could hidemyself from him.
The righteousnessof the uprightwill deliverthem, But the treacherouswill be caughtby [their own] greed.
The righteousis deliveredfrom trouble,But the wickedtakeshis place.
A manof violenceenticeshis neighborAnd leadshim in a waythat is not good.
"Bewareof the false prophets,whocometo you in sheep'sclothing,but inwardlyare ravenouswolves.
"But whenyou seethe ABOMINATIONOF DESOLATIONstandingwhereit shouldnot be (let the readerunderstand),thenthosewhoare in Judeamust fleeto the mountains.
and from amongyour own selvesmenwill arise,speakingperverse things,to draw awaythe disciplesafterthem.
I have not writtento you becauseyou do not knowthe truth,but becauseyou do knowit, and becausenolieis of the truth.
As for you, the anointingwhichyou receivedfrom Him abidesin you, and you havenoneedfor anyoneto teachyou; but as His anointingteachesyou aboutall things,and is true and is not a lie,and justas it has taughtyou, you abidein Him.
