A fooldoes not delightin understanding,But onlyin revealinghis own mind.
Thenyou will discernthe fearof the LORDAnd discoverthe knowledgeof God.
Do not speakin the hearingof a fool,For he will despisethe wisdomof your words.
The fearof the LORDis the beginningof wisdom,And the knowledgeof the HolyOneis understanding.
The conclusion,when allhas been heard,[is]: fearGodand keepHis commandments,becausethis[applies to] everyperson.
And justas they did not see fitto acknowledgeGodany longer, Godgave them overto a depravedmind,to dothosethings which are not proper,
"So keepand do[them], for that is your wisdomand your understandingin the sightof the peopleswhowill hearallthesestatutesand say,'Surelythisgreatnationis a wiseand understandingpeople.'
