Wisdomshoutsin the street,She liftsher voicein the square;
"Howlong,O naiveones,will you lovebeing simple-minded?And scoffersdelightthemselves in scoffingAnd foolshateknowledge?
Does not wisdomcall,And understandingliftup her voice?
Besidethe gates,at the openingto the city,At the entranceof the doors,she criesout:
She has sentout her maidens,she callsFrom the topsof the heightsof the city:
"WhatI tellyou in the darkness,speakin the light;and whatyou hear[whispered] in [your] ear,proclaimupon the housetops.
And largecrowdsgatheredto Him, soHe gotinto a boatand sat down,and the wholecrowdwas standingon the beach.
Jesusansweredhim, "I have spokenopenlyto the world;I alwaystaughtin synagoguesand in the temple,whereallthe Jewscome together;and I spokenothingin secret.
