Mosestherefore saidto them, "Wait,and I will listento whatthe LORDwill commandconcerning you."
You [need] not fightin this[battle]; stationyourselves, standand seethe salvationof the LORDon your behalf,O Judahand Jerusalem.'Do not fearor be dismayed;tomorrowgoout to facethem, for the LORDis with you."
The secretof the LORDis for those who fearHim, And He will make them knowHis covenant.
I will hearwhatGodthe LORDwill say;For He will speakpeaceto His people,to His godlyones;But let them not turnbackto folly.
But Mosessaidto the people,"Do not fear!Standby and seethe salvationof the LORDwhichHe will accomplishfor you today;for the Egyptianswhomyou have seentoday,you will neverseethem againforever.
Mosessaidto his father-in-law,"Becausethe peoplecometo me to inquireof God.
"But you shall speakMy wordsto them whetherthey listenornot, for they are rebellious.
"Sonof man,I have appointedyou a watchmanto the houseof Israel;whenever you heara wordfrom My mouth,warnthem from Me.
They puthim in custodyso that the commandof the LORDmight be madeclearto them.
and they puthim in custodybecauseit had not been declaredwhatshould be doneto him.
So Mosesbroughttheir casebeforethe LORD.
Thosemensaidto him, "[Though] we are uncleanbecause of [the] deadperson,whyare we restrainedfrom presentingthe offeringof the LORDat its appointedtimeamongthe sonsof Israel?"
Then the LORDspoketo Moses,saying,
for the wordswhichYou gaveMe I have givento them; and they received[them] and trulyunderstoodthat I came forthfrom You, and they believedthat You sentMe.
"Ifanyoneis willingto doHis will,he will knowof the teaching,whetherit is of Godor[whether] I speakfrom Myself.
"For I did not shrinkfrom declaringto you the wholepurposeof God.
For I receivedfrom the Lordthat whichI alsodeliveredto you, that the LordJesusin the nightin whichHe was betrayedtookbread;
For I am consciousof nothingagainst myself,yetI am not by thisacquitted;but the one who examinesme is the Lord.
