he shall abstainfrom wineand strongdrink;he shall drinknovinegar,whether made from wineor strongdrink,norshall he drinkanygrapejuicenoreatfreshor driedgrapes.
"Do not drinkwineor strongdrink,neither you noryour sonswith you, when you comeinto the tentof meeting,so that you will not die--it is a perpetualstatutethroughout your generations--
"Then I raisedup someof your sonsto be prophetsAnd someof your youngmento be Nazirites.Is thisnot so,O sonsof Israel?"declaresthe LORD.
"But you made the Naziritesdrinkwine,And you commandedthe prophetssaying,You shall not prophesy!'
Allthe daysof his separationhe shall not eatanythingthat is producedby the grapevine,from [the] seedseven to [the] skin.
"For he will be greatin the sightof the Lord;and he will drinknowineorliquor,and he will be filledwith the HolySpiritwhile yetin his mother'swomb.
"Be on guard,sothat your heartswill not be weighted downwith dissipationand drunkennessand the worriesof life,and that daywill not comeon you suddenlylikea trap;
And do not get drunkwith wine,for that is dissipation,but be filledwith the Spirit,
abstainfrom everyformof evil.
No longerdrink water[exclusively], but usea littlewinefor the sakeof your stomachand your frequentailments.
since they [relate] onlyto foodand drinkand variouswashings,regulationsfor the bodyimposeduntila timeof reformation.
"She should not eatanythingthat comesfrom the vinenordrinkwineor strongdrink,noreatanyuncleanthing;let her observeallthat I commanded."
"Nowtherefore, be carefulnot to drinkwineor strongdrink,noreatanyuncleanthing.
