"The pasturelandsof the citieswhichyou shall giveto the Levites[shall extend] from the wallof the cityoutwarda thousandcubitsaround.
"Now ifa Levitecomesfrom anyof your townsthroughoutIsraelwherehe resides,and comeswheneverhe desiresto the placewhichthe LORDchooses,
Thus they gavethem Kiriath-arba,[Arba being] the fatherof Anak(that is, Hebron),in the hillcountryof Judah,with its surroundingpasturelands.
