So Mosesgaveto them, to the sonsof Gadand to the sonsof Reubenand to the half-tribeof Joseph'ssonManasseh,the kingdomof Sihon,kingof the Amoritesand the kingdomof Og,the kingof Bashan,the landwith its citieswith [their] territories,the citiesof the surroundingland.
Of the half-tribeof Manasseh18,000,whowere designatedby nameto comeand makeDavidking.
and his relatives,capablemen,[were] 2,700in number, headsof fathers'[households]. And KingDavidmadethem overseersof the Reubenites,the Gaditesand the half-tribeof the Manassitesconcerning allthe affairsof Godand of the king.
The sonsof Reubenand the Gaditesand the half-tribeof Manasseh,[consisting] of valiantmen,menwho boreshieldand swordand shotwith bowand [were] skillfulin battle,[were] 44,760,who wentto war.
Now the sonsof Reubenand the sonsof Gadhadan exceedinglylargenumberof livestock.So when they sawthe landof Jazerand the landof Gilead,that it was indeeda placesuitablefor livestock,
"We ourselveswill crossoverarmedin the presenceof the LORDinto the landof Canaan,and the possessionof our inheritance[shall remain] with us acrossthe Jordan."
"For the tribeof the sonsof Reubenhave received[theirs] according to their fathers'households,and the tribeof the sonsof Gadaccording to their fathers'households,and the half-tribeof Manassehhave receivedtheir possession.
"The twoand a halftribeshave receivedtheir possessionacrossthe Jordanopposite Jericho,eastwardtoward the sunrising."
and we tooktheir landand gaveit as an inheritanceto the Reubenites,the Gadites,and the half-tribeof the Manassites.
Now theseare the kingsof the landwhomthe sonsof Israeldefeated,and whose landthey possessedbeyondthe Jordantoward the sunrise,from the valleyof the Arnonas faras MountHermon,and allthe Arabahto the east:
Mosesthe servantof the LORDand the sonsof Israeldefeatedthem; and Mosesthe servantof the LORDgaveit to the Reubenitesand the Gaditesand the half-tribeof Manassehas a possession.
For Moseshad giventhe inheritanceof the twotribesand the half-tribebeyondthe Jordan;but he did not givean inheritanceto the Levitesamongthem.
"And nowthe LORDyour Godhas givenrestto your brothers,as He spoketo them; therefore turnnowand goto your tents,to the landof your possession,whichMosesthe servantof the LORDgaveyou beyondthe Jordan.
Now to the one half-tribeof ManassehMoseshad given[a possession] in Bashan,but to the other halfJoshuagave[a possession] amongtheir brotherswestwardbeyondthe Jordan.So whenJoshuasentthem awayto their tents,he blessedthem,
Also [some of] the Hebrewscrossedthe Jordaninto the landof Gadand Gilead.But as for Saul,he [was] stillin Gilgal,and allthe peoplefollowedhim trembling.
