Jeshuabecamethe fatherof Joiakim,and Joiakimbecamethe fatherof Eliashib,and Eliashibbecamethe father of Joiada,
the ninthfor Jeshua,the tenthfor Shecaniah,
the eleventhfor Eliashib,the twelfthfor Jakim,
and Joiadabecamethe fatherof Jonathan,and Jonathanbecamethe fatherof Jaddua.
As for the Levites,the headsof fathers'[households] were registeredin the daysof Eliashib,Joiada,and Johananand Jaddua;so [were] the priestsin the reignof Dariusthe Persian.
These[served] in the daysof Joiakimthe sonof Jeshua,the sonof Jozadak,and in the daysof Nehemiahthe governorand of Ezrathe priest[and] scribe.
Also Bakbukiahand Unni,their brothers,stood oppositethem in [their] servicedivisions.
Even one of the sonsof Joiada,the sonof Eliashibthe highpriest,was a son-in-lawof Sanballatthe Horonite,so I drovehim awayfrom me.
Now priorto this,Eliashibthe priest,who was appointedover the chambersof the houseof our God,being relatedto Tobiah,
and I cameto Jerusalemand learnedabout the evilthat Eliashibhad donefor Tobiah,by preparinga roomfor him in the courtsof the houseof God.
Then Eliashibthe highpriestarosewith his brothersthe priestsand builtthe SheepGate;they consecratedit and hungits doors.They consecratedthe wall to the Towerof the Hundred[and] the Towerof Hananel.
