But Jesussaidto him, "FollowMe, and allowthe deadto burytheir owndead."
He leftthe oxenand ranafterElijahand said,"Pleaselet me kissmy fatherand my mother,then I will followyou." And he saidto him, "Gobackagain,for whathave I doneto you?"
Anotherof the disciplessaidto Him, "Lord,permitme firstto goand burymy father."
As Jesuswenton from there,He sawa mancalledMatthew,sittingin the tax collector's booth;and He saidto him, "FollowMe!" And he gotup and followedHim.
As He passedby, He sawLevithe [son] of Alphaeussittingin the tax booth,and He saidto him, "FollowMe!" And he gotup and followedHim.
for thissonof minewas deadand has come to life again;he was lostand has been found.'And they beganto celebrate.
But we hadto celebrateand rejoice,for thisbrotherof yourswas deadand [has begun] to live,and [was] lostand has been found.'"
And He saidto another,"FollowMe." But he said,"Lord,permitme firstto goand burymy father."
But He saidto him, "Allowthe deadto burytheir owndead;but as for you, goand proclaim everywherethe kingdomof God."
The next dayHe purposedto gointo Galilee,and He foundPhilip.And Jesussaidto him, "FollowMe."
NowthisHe said,signifyingby what kindof deathhe would glorifyGod.And when He had spokenthis,He saidto him, "FollowMe!"
Jesussaidto him, "IfI wanthim to remainuntilI come,what[is that] to you? You followMe!"
And you were deadin your trespassesand sins,
evenwhen we were deadin our transgressions,made us alive togetherwith Christ(by graceyou have beensaved),
For this reasonit says,"Awake,sleeper,And arisefrom the dead,And Christwill shineon you."
When you were deadin your transgressionsand the uncircumcisionof your flesh,He made you alive togetherwith Him, having forgivenus allour transgressions,
But she who gives herself to wanton pleasureis deadeven while she lives.
