and laidit in his own newtomb,whichhe had hewnout in the rock;and he rolleda largestoneagainst the entranceof the tomband went away.
My fathermade me swear,saying,"Behold,I am about to die;in my gravewhichI dugfor myself in the landof Canaan,thereyou shall buryme." Nowtherefore, pleaselet me goup and burymy father;then I will return.'"
Whatright do you have here,And whomdo you have here,That you have hewna tombfor yourself here,You who hewa tombon the height,You who carvea restingplacefor yourself in the rock?
His gravewas assignedwith wickedmen,Yet He was with a richmanin His death,BecauseHe had donenoviolence,Norwas there any deceitin His mouth.
And Josephtookthe bodyand wrappedit in a cleanlinen cloth,
And they wentand madethe gravesecure,and along with the guardthey set a sealon the stone.
And behold,a severeearthquakehad occurred,for an angelof the Lorddescendedfrom heavenand cameand rolled awaythe stoneand satupon it.
And they foundthe stonerolled awayfrom the tomb,
SoJesus,againbeing deeply movedwithin,cameto the tomb.Nowit was a cave,and a stonewas lyingagainstit.
Sothey removedthe stone.ThenJesusraisedHis eyes,and said,"Father,I thankYou that You have heardMe.
Nowin the placewhereHe was crucifiedthere was a garden,and in the gardena newtombin whichno onehad yetbeenlaid.
Nowon the first[day] of the weekMaryMagdalenecameearlyto the tomb,while it was stilldark,and sawthe stone[already] taken awayfrom the tomb.
