Immediatelyoneof them ran,and takinga sponge,he filledit with sour wineand putit on a reed,and gave Him a drink.
They also gaveme gallfor my foodAnd for my thirstthey gaveme vinegarto drink.
they gaveHim wineto drinkmixedwith gall;and after tasting[it], He was unwillingto drink.
And someof thosewho were standingthere,when they heardit, [began] saying,"This manis callingfor Elijah."
But the rest[of them] said,"Letus seewhetherElijahwill cometo saveHim."
Someoneranand filleda spongewith sour wine,putit on a reed,and gave Him a drink,saying,"Letus seewhetherElijahwill cometo take Him down."
The soldiersalsomockedHim, comingup to Him, offeringHim sour wine,
