Thenwhen Judas,who had betrayedHim, sawthat He had been condemned,he felt remorseand returnedthe thirtypieces of silverto the chief priestsand elders,
That the triumphingof the wickedis short,And the joyof the godlessmomentary?
"Ifthe oxgoresa maleorfemaleslave,the owner shall givehis [or her] masterthirtyshekelsof silver,and the oxshall be stoned.
Then the LORDsaidto me, "Throwit to the potter,[that] magnificentpriceat whichI was valuedby them." So I tookthe thirty[shekels] of silverand threwthem to the potterin the houseof the LORD.
Duringsupper,the devilhaving alreadyputinto the heartof JudasIscariot,[the son] of Simon,to betrayHim,
Afterthe morsel,Satanthenenteredinto him. ThereforeJesussaidto him, "Whatyou do,doquickly."
Judasthen,having receivedthe [Roman] cohortand officersfrom the chief priestsand the Pharisees,cametherewith lanternsand torchesand weapons.
(Nowthis manacquireda fieldwith the priceof his wickedness,and fallingheadlong,he burst openin the middleand allhis intestinesgushedout.
For the sorrowthat is accordingto [the will] [of] Godproducesa repentancewithout regret,[leading] to salvation,but the sorrowof the worldproducesdeath.
